Hotel Review: Carden Park, Cheshire

Located 20 minutes away from historic Chester is 1000 acre country estate  Carden Park which is a four star luxury hotel with 197 bedrooms. This is a hotel which is perfect for a short break for couples, friends and families as there is something to do for everyone within the hotel. I recently visited Carden Park for a wedding where I was bridesmaid and stayed in one of the courtyard suites.

Our room at Carden Park was located away from the hotel in accommodation blocks known as courtyard suites  we  also had a view of the Spa from our room. The room was very spacious with a super king size bed, seating area with a small table and two chairs, there was also a large desk area with another chair. There is a large bathroom which includes a bath with a shower over.

On the first night we ate at AA Rosette awarded restaurant which offers views of the golf course. We opted to have a main course and dessert,  we enjoyed chicken breast with jersey royal potatoes, asparagus with a chicken sauce. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding but my Mum had chocolate and cherry tart. We both also enjoyed a bramble cocktail with our meal.

Food is also available in the bar area or at another restaurant called Vines. There is also the option of room service.

Within the hotel there are:

Two champtionship golf courses

Tennis Courts

Aerial Adventure Experience

210m Zip Line

There is also a spa which recently underwent a £10m refurb and has 14 treatment rooms. The Spa at Carden Park located in a separate building from the hotel as you will also find within the building a restaurant called Elements. There is an outdoor pool, sauna & hot tubs. There are stay & day experiences available as well as different treatments. When I stayed at Carden Park I didn’t visit the spa even though I had a view of it from my room, but I would love to return at some point to experience the spa as it does look the perfect place for some relaxation.

Nearby attractions include:

Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet

Chester Zoo
