London a city that is very well known across the world as the capital of England. As one of the most visited cities in the world there is a variety of sights and activities on offer for visitors.

There is a good transport system in London where they offer various modes of transport with access from across the world. Those who live in the UK can easily access London by train, coach, car and plane but those who live outside of the UK can access by plane, as London has five airports with London Heathrow and London Gatwick as the two main airports for the city. Once in London it is easy to get around the city as they have an underground tube which gets you around the city a lot quicker than by road.

For anyone taking their first visit to London I would recommend taking in all the sights on offer first which can take a couple days. To see the sights of London in the best way possible I would recommend getting tickets for a hop on hop off tour bus, which will take you around the sights. City Sightseeing currently have a special offer on till 28th February where you can get an extra 24 hours on a 24 or 48 hour ticket that is purchased. I would recommend having at least a 48 hour ticket so that you are able to enjoy the sights at a more relaxed pace with the ability to get on and off at stops. Sights available to see in London include:
London Eye
The London Eye is located on the Southbank of River Thames. In 2000 when opened it was the tallest ferris wheel but this title now belongs to the High Roller in Las Vegas. The London Eye offers visitors the chance, depending on whether there is clear skies, to be able to see across London.

Big Ben
Big Ben is a nickname for the great bell of the clock which is located at the north end of the Palace of Westminster. Since 2012 the official name for Big Ben is Elizabeth Tower which was changed from Clock Tower to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Elizabeth ll. At the moment the bells don’t chime every hour due to maintenance work which is expected to last a couple years.

Palace of Westminster
The Palace of Westminster is the meeting place for both the House of Commons and House of Lords who are the two houses of parliament in the UK. It is often referred to as the Houses of Parliament.

Buckingham Palace
Buckingham Palace is the London residence and administrative headquarters for the reigning monarch of the UK. This is one of the main points for British people to visit during times of national rejoicing and mourning.

Kensington Palce
A Royal residence, which is located in Kensington Gardens, which has been a residence of the Royal family going back to the 17th century.

Trafalgar Square
A public square located in the area of Westminster which is mostly used for community gatherings and political demonstrations. Up until the early 21st century Trafalgar Square was well known for feral pigeons.

London is a city that I think you can visit multiple times and still have something to do. I plan to do multiple blogs over a period of time which will include different things available in and around London.
