Happy New Year!
Hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas. This Christmas for me was the first time for a long time that I’ve felt I could enjoy Christmas as I had a few days off work. Christmas was quiet as I spent some time with my family which I haven’t been able to do lately.
I have been absence for the last three months for a couple of reasons one which includes that I changed shops within my job as well as increasing the amount of hours that I work. For nearly eight years I’ve worked in the city centre but I decided it was time for a change and to move to a brand new store so that I could develop my career within the company. Changing storee has included taking on more hours as well as moving to a different department so I’ve been focused on adjusting to the change which I am still not totally used to but I am getting there.
Another reason for my absence is that before my job change I felt that any posts that I was writing just weren’t good enough or that I couldn’t think of anything to write. This led to me deciding that I needed to take a break which was longer than expected as I didn’t want to be posting if I wasn’t happy with what I’d done. The last couple months has allowed me think about my blog without putting pressure on myself as to where I want it to go and what I want to do.
During 2018 these are my ambitions for the blog:
Post some lifestyle posts along with more travel posts
A blog redesign
Post twice a week
To be ahead with my posts ready to go live
Attract more readers
Improve my photography
I also want to gain more confidence with my blog
I am going to continue with posting on a Monday but hopefully I will also be able to post on a Thursday as well.
For 2018 I only have two trips booked which include New York and a Baltic cruise. I am hoping to be able to add a couple of mini breaks in through the year.
