For anyone who is visiting Universal in Orlando for the first time there are some tips you may wish to know before you go which can help you whilst there.

Ticket Types

For Universal it is important to make sure you have a park to park ticket especially if you are going for Wizarding World of Harry Potter. A park to park ticket allows you to ride the Hogwarts Express between Universal and Islands of Adventure, if you choose not to get a park to park ticket you will not be able to ride the Hogwarts Express.

Footwear

You need to make sure that you are wearing comfy shoes as there is a lot of walking required within Universal. There is nothing worse than wearing shoes which are uncomfortable as they will spoil your day.

Food

I would recommend researching the food options within Universal and CityWalk as there is a lot of places to choose from and this will help you to save time on the day as you will not be wandering as you try to decide where to eat. Consider choosing to eat at CityWalk on your way out of the parks which is something that I chose to do.

App

Download the Universal app to your phone, this allows you to have the map of the parks on your phone as well as to see what the wait time is for rides. This helps you to plan your day at the parks better and make the best of your time.
