As somewhere that is hot all year round Dubai is somewhere that can be visited at any time of the year. I’ve visited three times in February/ March and I’ve found the weather to be ideal as it’s not too hot allowing anyone to explore or relax comfortably.

As a city located in the United Arab Emirates, Dubai is fast becoming one of the most popular cities to visit as it has began to focus on development works to attract tourism. Dubai is home to the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa at 828 metres tall. Burj Khalifa allows visitors the chance to visit observation decks on levels 124 and 125 for 360 degree views. Burj Khalifa can be accessed from within Dubai Mall which is the second largest mall in the world. Within Dubai Mall you are able to find an aquarium, ice rink, fountains where there is shows on and timings for these can be found online as they vary. Dubai Mall is also home to many shops and restaurants such as Sephora, Bath & Body Works, Zara, H&M, Cheesecake Factory and PF Changs. When planning a visit to Burj Khalifa I would recommend pre booking your tickets as well as picking a morning time slot to try and avoid the crowds.

Another observation place in Dubai is The View at The Palm where at 240metres high you are able to enjoy 360 degree views of the Palm as well as Dubai skyline. As you make your way to the top for spectacular views you are able to see and hear the stories of how The Palm was made as this is a man made island which is where you are also able to find Atlantis Hotel.

If you are looking to do something a little different from sightseeing, shopping or even laying at the beach/pool whilst in Dubai take a taxi to Dubai Miracle Garden which is only open September through to April. It is the world’s largest flower garden at over 72,000 square metres, within the gardens you are able to see sculptures of Emirates Airbus A380 and a heart passage. Tickets are available to buy at the gate.

If you are wanting to get a glimpse of old Dubai head over to the Al Reef district which celebrates the beginnings of Dubai Creek. There are two different parts of Al Reef as one part features old architecture whilst the other part features contemporary structures. Whilst visiting Al Seef you are able to enjoy an abra ride or enjoy a meal at one of the waterfront restaurants.

One of the most luxurious hotels in Dubai is Burj Al Arab which is one of the tallest hotels in the world and is also on an artificial island which is connected to the mainland via a private curving bridge. Burj Al Arab is easily recognisable with its sail shaped building.
Somewhere else that can be visited for views across Dubai is located at Zabeel Park and known as Dubai Frame which is an observation attraction as well as a museum.
No visit to Dubai would be complete without a trip to a Souk and for this I would recommend a trip to the Madinat where there is a souk within the grounds. Within the Souk Madinat which takes inspiration from an old Arabian town you are able to buy jewellery, clothing and trinkets. This Souk isn’t as traditional as some of those that you are able to find within the Old Town but is worth a visit. At the Madinat you are able to enjoy unique views of Burj Al Arab as well as enjoy some food at one of the many restaurants within the grounds. On one of my visits I visited Pai Thai which is accessed either on food or by boat as it is set along the water.

Personally I find Dubai to be the perfect destination to visit if you are looking for a balance of exploring and relaxing.
