Hotel Review: Anantara Resort The Palm Dubai

Upon arriving at Anantara Resort you could easily be mistaken to think that you are in Thailand with it’s design. Upon walking in to main building to check in you are greeted with a Thai inspired drink once sat down to check in with a member of the Anantara team. If your staying in one of the lagoon rooms or villas once checked in you are then taken to your room in one of the hotel tuk tuks.

At the Anantara Resort there are different types of rooms available to book including:

Lagoon View Room

Lagoon Access Room

Overwater Villa

Apartment

For both my stays I’ve had a lagoon access room, these rooms have a small terrace with steps down to one of the three lagoons that can be found within the resort. Inside the room there is a large bathroom with a bath along with a separate shower. There’s also a king sized bed along with a desk and chair within the main room as well as a mini fridge which contains drinks for a fee. Each day there is a member of staff who comes along the lagoon with a small boat making cocktails for a fee.

Within the resort of Anantara there are several restaurants including:

Crescendo: a buffet style restaurant offering breakfast and evening meal, there are various theme evenings for evening meal including Mexican night

Bushman’s: Australian style restaurant for an upscale evening meal

Mekong: Asian style restaurant with food from China, Thailand and Vietnam

The Beach House: Mediterranean style food at a restaurant located on Anantara’s private beach

Revo Cafe: a coffee house which is open all day serving food whilst offering views of the Dubai skyline

Crescendo is also home to the Fork & Cork Saturday brunch. Brunch is every Saturday 1pm-4pm.

Within the resort there is a spa where you are able to go for a range of treatments including massages, facials and body treatments. There are three lagoons within the resort as well as the main pool where there are sun loungers. There is also a private beach which spans 400 metres allowing views of the Dubai skyline and you are also able to enjoy views of Atlantis Hotel.

If you are wishing to have a shopping day there is free shuttle service to Mall of the Emirates from the resort. Timings for this shuttle can be found at reception. Access to any attractions within Dubai is easily done by taxi which you are able to get from the front of the resort.

Anantara Resort is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for some relaxation.
